I was going to give a 5 star review for awesome costumer service but with the fact I could never get back in to get my vehicle fixed while it was under warranty, I can't.
Every time he promised to fix it something came up, the part was mail ordered and taking a long time or he couldn't fit us in that week, so after a month we quit bugging him in hopes he would reach out to us when he had the part and could get us in. I haven't even had the vehicle a year, the only vehicle in my household, and it now dies while sitting at red lights or while idling. It's been almost 7 months and still has not been fixed, knowing I have two children and it is our only vehicle.
He told us that his secretary (his 3rd secretary in a month so he says) had all our registration info in her car but she was at college and unreachable. But assured us the registration was completed. He had a meeting with his lawyer he had to leave for but would bring us our registration info , to our home in franklinville, after his meeting. 5 hours later he tells us he will do it the next day. We asked for him to send us a text with the photo of the registration and he never responded.
We told him he had until the end of business day on Monday, Dec. 19th to have the registration to us. He text us at 4:45pm saying our stuff was out in the mail, he had enough of this situation, that WE had caused him grief, and was now refusing to honor the lower amount on the bill of sale he wrote us and would be charging us full tax .
Bought a truck off Mike Mesler garage. Was looking for months and he finally found just what I was looking for. Was great to deal with. Everything went smooth and he was even willing to do the lift and got me wheels and tires. Love the truck and what mike did to make it happen
The next day the shop in Cuba called us wanting to know how in the world did Mike Mesler pass our trucks inspection. The brake lines were badly rusted and bubbled and needed replaced. We finally got a response from Mike after we text him the inspection failure and brake line cost (and we told him he would be paying for it)
A week after buying the vehicle I was pulled over by a state trooper who told me my tags were registered to my van. We text Mike about the issue and he promptly called us and explained he had turned all the paperwork in but the DMV can take a week or so to update the info. Ok, benefit of doubt was given.
Later on when we brought it home, the check engine light came on, it was the catalytic converter. We cleared it twice and it still came back on. When we told mike, he asked us to swing by so he could look. When he hooked it up to the computer it came up with the same code for the converter. Mike ensured us he would order the part and replace it, specially since it was still under warranty.
A week later, while driving thru Olean, our brake lines blow and we are left stranded. We called Mike 6 times with no answer and no response to text messages. We finally got a tow truck to take our suburban to Cuba, NY to a trusted shop. As we waited for The tow truck to arrive, a woman pulled her vehicle up and began taking pictures of our suburban and my husband and I. After asking her what in the heck she was doing, she explained that SHE OWNED this suburban, she knew Mike had it to sell it but had no clue it had been sold, she hadn't been paid and she in fact still had possesion of the title. We confirmed The validity of her story and exchanged contact information.
It is now January 4th, over 2 weeks later, and we still have no paperwork from Mike Mesler or the DMV.
We text him today saying our temp registration he wrote out, expires Sunday and we have yet to receive a thing from him. No response from Mike.
February 24th, I bought an '03 Dodge Durango. Mike let us use it for the weekend since my vehicle was out of commission, and had us bring it back Monday to fix any concerns we had.
We purchased a Suburban from Mike Mesler that he had posted on the Facebook marketplace. He told us he was selling the car on consignment for a buddy of his in Olean. When we tried to negotiate the price, he said the owners would not budge on the price but would write a lower bill of sale to help with sales tax. Mike also assured us he would handle the registration, title transfer and tag transfer (we wanted to transfer the tags from our van) Everything seemed to be great and go smoothly.
The lady (the one who previously owned our vehicle) text me that night telling me that someone from his shop showed up to her house to get the title and lein release info. (So how was the registration done??? It wasn't....)
We went to his shop to get the payment for the brake lines and get proof of registration in our name. He had a handful of different stories. He had just been robbed, he dislocated his jaw a few days ago, he hurt his knee. He then started asking his employees if they had a few bucks he could borrow to help pay the brake line replacement on our vehicle.
So, he had to have forged my husband's signature to write a new bill of sale (if he had even registered the vehicle, which I doubt at this point ) excuse after excuse after excuse.
The 27th of February we dropped the vehicle off and picked it up the next day. Mike registered, inspected and fixed everything he promised.
We are reporting him to the DMV for every reason listed above. This is a HUGE BUYER BEWARE situation. Save yourself the headache.
Good service
Good garage responsible rates and great service
The next day he tells us he's in Rochester at Strong to have some xrays done. That he would come by after that. Then later said he would be staying the night there because of the weather and he would be by the next day to bring us our registration. The next day he never showed up.
